2025 New England Garden Festival
The 2025 New England Garden Festival was a huge success.
The Committee sends a big “Thank You” to the sponsors, garden owners and local organisers, stallholders, volunteers, performers, workshop presenters and speakers who contributed their outstanding efforts to the event.
Not least, “Thank you for coming” to all those who delighted in visiting and staying in our region to experience the beautiful open gardens of the New England Region and the Festival in Armidale.
Please save the date for next year for the festival in Armidale on the weekend of 31st October and 1st November 2026.

2025 New England Garden Festival and Spring Garden Trail
With our Spring Garden Trail starting in Tenterfield on Thursday 30th of October and finishing in Armidale over the Festival weekend, 1st and 2nd November, you will have the chance to view the best gardens that the New England region has to offer with each town putting their finest foot forward with foliage, food and small-town hospitality. The money raised in each town from ticket sales, as part of our Spring Garden Trail, also stays in that town to support local charities.
This year our main event, the two day New England Garden Festival, will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of November at the Armidale Racecourse and is set to be bigger and better than ever with guest presenters, market stalls, food vendors, workshops, Naturehood Picnic activities for children with Dirtgirl, Scrapboy and Costa the Gnome, live bands and more to keep the whole family having a blooming great time.

Tickets: $10 for adults and $5 for children aged 5 to 18

The Naturehood Picnic & Grubby Bucket Show
Step into the world of dirtgirl, scrapboy, and Costa the Garden Gnome at The Naturehood Picnic—a two-hour celebration of creativity, care, and connection. Packsaddle is an annual invitational selling exhibition of artwork from well-known and emerging Australian artists. Held annually at NERAM, the exhibition includes a large collection of paintings, limited edition prints, pottery, sculpture and works on paper. All proceeds support NERAM, and in 2025 Packsaddle is celebrating its 40th anniversary!
Spring Garden Trail
Start your garden adventure a few days early! On Thursday 30th October Tenterfield will open three beautiful private gardens (9:30 AM – 2:00 PM). Afterward, explore this vibrant town before heading to Glen Innes on Friday 31st October, Uralla on Saturday 1st November and then on to Armidale for the New England Garden Festival (Nov 1–2).
The University of New England also invites visitors to the campus on Friday 31st October to view several outstanding landscaped gardens, Natural Museum, Archeological Museum, as well as, to book a tour of the Herbarium.
